Manjal is a breakfast space that brings the comfort of home-cooked Tamil meals to a cozy, welcoming setting. Designed as a morning refuge, Manjal evokes the feeling of meals shared with loved ones, warm, simple, and nourishing.
The name Manjal comes from the Tamil word for turmeric, an essential ingredient in Tamil cuisine and culture. Turmeric not only adds flavor and color but also symbolizes warmth, vitality, and care, qualities that guided the entire design philosophy.
The visual identity revolves around a turmeric yellow palette, chosen to mirror the energy of the morning sun and the essential role it plays in our lives. The branding is minimal yet rooted in authenticity, capturing the essence of a home kitchen brought to life in a public space.
